(Senior) Policy Data Analyst and Data Manager positions at the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center (Vanderbilt)

The Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center, based at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, aims to be a resource for state policymakers and advocates by translating the science of the developing child into the most effective policy actions and public investments for states. As a part of this work, we strive to build the evidence base for and shape the development of equitable policymaking at the state level to build a strong and equitable prenatal-to-3 system of care for families.

Our Center is currently hiring for multiple roles, including a Data Manager and a (Senior) Policy Data Analyst.

Data Manager: We are looking for a senior-level data manager to provide leadership to a team of data analysts, lead data system design, and conduct and supervise analyses of policy, demographic, and outcome data. We are looking for someone with experience working with large state and national datasets (e.g., American Community Survey, National Survey of Children’s Health) and with expertise in research design and methods. The person in this role will oversee all processes for data collection and analysis for the annual Prenatal-to-3 State Policy Roadmap and other key data resources for the field (e.g., policy data simulations, benefit-cost analyses). Experience with Stata and supervising staff required.

Senior Policy Data Analyst/Policy Data Analyst: We seek a data analyst to join our team with expertise in data management, manipulation, cleaning, and analysis, specifically with large, national datasets (e.g., American Community Survey, National Survey of Children’s Health). The person in this role will conduct analyses of data to measure state variation and generosity in policy adoption and implementation, state-level indicators of child and family well-being, state-level demographic characteristics of the prenatal-to-3 population, especially as related to the annual Prenatal-to-3 State Policy Roadmap. Experience with Stata required.
