Are you a graduate student, postdoctoral researcher, or early-career scientist eager to tackle pressing challenges in STEM Equity and Education head-on? Science for America (SfA) is searching for our next cohort of Fellows to play a vital role in working with us on identifying transformative solutions.
Science for America is a “solutions incubator” whose mission is to identify game-changing solutions to urgent societal challenges and make them happen. We operate across multiple pillars, including Climate/Energy, Health/Medicine, and STEM Equity and Education. At SfA, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and scientific rigor to drive innovation. By joining us, you’ll be part of a technical team working towards impactful change in society.
As a STEM Equity and Education Fellow, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into the heart of pressing issues related to STEM equity and education. You’ll work with us to define a project, applying your technical expertise to define critical problems and identify game-changing solutions. Projects could include: figuring out how to amplify the positive impact of the AI revolution on schools in general and underserved schools in particular, synthesizing research and developing guidance on statistical methods and data visualization approaches for small demographic groups, or diving into quantifying the success of various institutions in attracting and retaining different populations to STEM.
By participating in the Fellows program, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team of experts, gain invaluable mentorship on SfA’s data-driven problem-solving approach, and have the opportunity to explore new technical areas—all while making a tangible impact on urgent societal challenges. Fellows commit ~10% of their time to SfA for a 6 - 12 month term and receive a monthly stipend.
If you’re ready to leverage your expertise and passion to work on the pressing issues in STEM equity and education, we encourage you to visit the SfA fellowship webpage and complete our inquiry form today!
