How to Equitably Report Hours Contributed by Community Members?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a participatory research project and we’re trying to capture and report the hours contributed by community members, especially those with lived experience.

I want to make sure we’re valuing their time appropriately—not just as a line item but as meaningful engagement. Have any of you developed frameworks or seen examples where time is documented in a way that recognizes power dynamics, labor value, or equity?

We’re also unsure whether to present this data quantitatively (e.g., total hours) or qualitatively (e.g., types of contributions). Any guidance, templates, or ideas would be deeply appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance :folded_hands:
