Job Description:
POSITION: Director of Institutional Effectiveness: Director; Institutional Effectiveness; Haverhill Campus; 37.5 hours/week; Non-Unit Professional Position
SUMMARY: The Director of Institutional Effectiveness manages a team of four, the college’s reporting and data analytics portfolio, a suite of technology systems, and is the owner of the college’s Data Governance initiative. This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and serves on the Leadership Cabinet.

  • Manage Institutional Effectiveness Strategy, Team, and Deliverables (50%)
  • Strategic Planning (30%)
  • System Management (10%)
  • Other Duties as Required (10%)

RESPONSIBILITES:
Manage Institutional Effectiveness Strategy, Team and deliverables: (50%)

  • Manage IE Team workflow, deadlines, and requests from stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Collaborate with college-wide stakeholders to improve processes with data and assessment in mind.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) for college’s data portfolio and relevant projects happening in sector
  • Collaborate with college-wide stakeholders to develop new Community Impact Report
  • Lead all qualitative research conducted by IE Office
  • Advocate for strategic priorities, high quality data, and assessment in roles on college-wide committees including the Integrated Student Alliance (ISE) team, Institutional Review Board (IRB), Racial Equity and Justice Institute (REJI), and Assessment and Improvement Guiding Coalition
  • Serve as principal project manager and determine prioritization for Data Governance

Support Ongoing Implementation of Strategic Plan: (30%)

  • Promote Use of Strategic Planning Rubric: Collaborate with Directors and Deans across college to promote and ensure ongoing use of Strategic Planner, Strategic Planning Rubric, and overall prioritization of strategic goals against competing tasks.
  • Measure Progress Towards Strategic Goals: Collaborate with Assessment and Informed Improvement Guiding Coalition to develop collection and analysis methodology for Strategic Planning Rubrics.

Navigate and Ocelot System Management (10%)

  • Serve as Program Owner for EAB: Navigate and Ocelot Chatbot to provide strategy and direction for ongoing feature implementation and decisions.
  • Ensure use of Navigate and Ocelot systems is maximized and conduct regular analysis of ROI.

Other Duties as Required (10%)

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as information systems, statistics, math, data analytics, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of total job experience, and three years of experience managing and analyzing large data sets, preferably in a college setting.
  • Experience with application implementations or upgrades.
  • Working knowledge of programming (e.g. SQL, R, Python, SPSS, SAS etc.)
  • Experience with a data warehouse and/or business intelligence system(s).
  • Significant project management experience.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or CMS.
  • Knowledge and experience building data visualizations, dashboards, and stories using Tableau (or similar software) in a customer setting.
  • Understanding of data management and data governance and its relationship to the student experience.
  • Excellent skills in telling a data story in a concise and effective fashion.
  • Ability to problem-solve using appropriate statistical methodologies.
  • Willingness to investigate, learn, and initiate new processes, technologies, and analytical tools.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-functional team for the purpose of planning and executing.
  • Propensity to meet tight deadlines regularly.
  • Experience in implementing new data governance strategies.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with ethnically, cultural, and socially diverse populations in a multi-campus environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Destiny One and Banner
  • Experience in building a customer lifecycle model.
  • Experience with Zogotech Data Warehouse.
  • Experience in developing data frameworks to capture the drivers of a customer experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment.Additional Information:
SALARY: Anticipated starting salary range is $100,000 - $110,000 annually with complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits.
